Started tennis at the age of 7. Played high school tennis for Shanghai American School as a standout singles and doubles player, winning multiple individual and team APAC awards.

Currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Haverford College, majoring in Economics and minoring in Philosophy. An excellent academic student, with one of the highest GPAs in his class. Was awarded Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete status in 2017, which is given to a varsity letter winner with a GPA of at least 3.5. Nominated for the prestigious Archibald MacIntosh Award in 2017, which is presented to the Haverford sophomore who emerged as the top freshman scholar-athlete in his/her class. Also a Second Team Doubles All-Centennial Conference player and nominee for Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year in 2017.

At the moment, training hard and getting ready to have another great season for the Fords.

*Fun Fact: David is also the 75th direct descendant of Confucius!
